Banff Yoga Festival — An Experience of a Lifetime
3 days of yoga, nature, and inner peace
Two years ago, I came across the Banff Yoga Festival, now known as Well in Banff.
Banff is the most beautiful town in Alberta, sometimes called ‘little Switzerland’.
I couldn’t attend the festival back then. First, I got pregnant, and the following year, I had ligament surgery.
This year, the universe had its own timing, and I finally attended the festival from May 23–25 at Mount Norquay in Banff.
I’ve been practicing yoga for a while, but I became consistent with it in February 2020. After my first miscarriage, I started yoga to avoid Dilation and Curettage (D&C) and to help manage the pain.
I had two more pregnancy losses after that, but thankfully no D&C was needed, and my cycles returned normally.
My belief in yoga deepened when I conceived naturally in 2023 and we welcomed our baby girl — Rumi.
Since then, yoga has been a core part of my life. I practice Vinyasa flows, breathing techniques like Anulom Vilom, Kapal Bhati, and AUM chanting.
After my meniscus tear surgery in 2024, I began yoga again to regain mobility, and my knees are doing much better now.
